London Clinical Network is working in partnership with Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority Groups to deliver interactive two hour workshops to provide an introductory insight into the cultural barriers and adaptions that can be implemented when supporting and engaging with specific groups.  The second workshop with be delivered in partnership with ‘Friends, Families and Travellers’ focussing on Gypsy, Traveller and nomadic communities.

After the training you will:

  • Have a better understanding of the diversity within Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities as well as cultures, traditions and histories
  • Have better understanding of the barriers which Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and nomadic people face when accessing public services across health, accommodation, justice and education as well as an improved knowledge on how to support people through these barriers
  • Be equipped with information to provide more inclusive services to Gypsy, Roma, Traveller and nomadic people

Audience: London Maternity Staff.

These workshops will not be recorded. CPD Certificates will be available for professionals that attend the session and complete the feedback survey.
