There are two regional groups:

Social Care Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) Group

Asylum and Refugee Reference Group

Led by the Strategic Migration Partnership, the Asylum and Refugee Reference Group is a multi-agency, multi-disciplinary body that draws together a wide range of stakeholders to take a strategic lead in addressing issues facing asylum seekers, unsuccessful asylum seekers and refugees in the region.

Social Care Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) group

Social Care Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) group comprises senior social services leads from the unitary and upper tier local authorities from across the East of England. They meet to share data, practice and details of how practice changes as a result of legal developments. They can initiate and develop projects and are working on delivering a 'Regional Protocol for UASC' which is to be taken up by social care teams, the police and UKBA.
