
Keynote address announced: Lord Richard Harrington Minister of State for Refugees.
This conference will bring together local councils and voluntary sector organisations from across the East of England to consider the region’s response to the Government’s refugee resettlement programmes and Ukraine visa schemes.
Through a mixture of keynote speeches, case studies and workshops, the conference aims to share best practice and consider the opportunities to work in partnership to help refugees settle into communities in the East of England.
The Conference will give delegates the opportunity to:
- Hear from Government and leading organisations about the national policy and regional picture for; Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP), Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) and UK Resettlement Scheme (UKRS), and the Homes for Ukraine scheme and Ukraine Family Scheme.
- Share challenges and best practice to support councils and voluntary sector organisations working to improves the lives of refugees in the East of England.
- Network with peers and partners from across the region.
Audience: The conference is aimed at council leaders, elected mayors, chief executives, council officers with a responsibility for refugee resettlement and key voluntary sector organisations from the East of England.
This event is by invitation only. If the conference is oversubscribed, we may need to limit the number of places per organisation and will contact you if this is the case.
