The Voluntary and Statutory sector: working together on migrant integration

A trans-European conference on 13-14 June will explore how the voluntary sector works with public sector partners to deliver pathways to migrant integration.

The conference is part of an EU project called ELAINE (European Local Authorities Integration Network) and is the second of a series of conferences which looks at how different EU countries work on the integration of new migrant communities.

The conference will centre on how the voluntary sector and the public sector work together on migrant integration here in the UK with delegates from the UK, Sweden, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands.

The EU delegates will be introduced to the different migrant communities which have made their homes in the region – refugees, asylum seekers, high-skilled migrants from beyond Europe and EU migrant workers, and the contributions they have made.

The main conference session will take place on 14 June at the Bobby Robson suite of Ipswich Town Football Club. Delegates will hear from a range of speakers and look at partnership opportunities for working on EU wide integration projects.
